Rifle Seized, Trio Arrested On Drug Charges In Atlantic City: Police

Three men were arrested in Atlantic City, including one wanted for shooting a gun, authorities said.

On Monday, July 31, at 6:14 p.m., Officer John Bell allegedly saw Koron Still and two other men, Alim Tisdale and Melvin Young, in the 500 block of South Carolina Avenue, Atlantic City police said.

Still was wanted since June 26 after an incident at a home where Still became involved in a fight, police said. On that date, Still allegedly removed a handgun from his waistband and fired one gunshot at the victim, police said. No one was hurt.

When Bell approached, Still fled on foot, police said. Officers Kyle Bender and Robert Reynolds apprehended Still after a short foot pursuit. While fleeing, Still discarded a bag that contained more than 12 grams of cocaine and ecstasy, police said.

K9 Officer Melvin Murray III and his K9 partner, Jynx, alerted officers to the presence of drugs in a vehicle that the men had been in.

A court-ordered search warrant was executed on a home the men had entered and officers recovered a rifle, ammunition, 345 grams of marijuana, heroin, and paraphernalia used in the distribution of drugs, police said. Tisdale and Young were arrested after this discovery.

Still, 25, of Atlantic City. was charged with aggravated assault, multiple drug and weapons offenses, endangering the welfare of a child, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest, police said.

Young, 31, of Pleasantville, was charged with several drug and weapons offenses as well as child endangerment, police said.

Tisdale, 32, of Atlantic City. was charged with several drug and weapons offenses, police said.

All three men were sent to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
